Dear Rowdy:
I had to write and tell you how much you have meant to me and what you have taught me about love and friendship in the last 15 years. You have been such a true friend with a heart made of pure gold. You slipped away from earth in a very peaceful manner with loving arms around you, while on that same day 17 Americans lost their lives so violently in a hostile faraway land. If people were as giving, loving, and tolerant of one another as you have been all these years, this world would be at peace and words like war and violence would only appear in the dictionary and not in our daily newspapers.
The day I sent you to the Rainbow Bridge was very difficult indeed. I just could not watch you decline any further for Dignity was your middle name. Your AKC registered name always amused me Balenbrae I Am Rowdy for it never suited you. You were totally opposite a true gentleman at all times. You put up with so much from B.J., whose puzzled look tells me that he doesnt understand why you had to leave us. Both of you have taught me that all dogs have their own unique personalities and thats the way it should be because both of you are priceless jewels from heaven.
Rowdy, I will always cherish the time we had together for no one can ever take away those memories of the fun, the laughter and tears we experienced together throughout your life. Someone many years ago made the remark how you were totally devoted to me and nobody else mattered as long as you were at my side.
When I look up to the skies at night and see a star that has that extra twinkle and brightness, I will know that you are enjoying a peaceful and happy rest for one day the morning sun shall rise and we shall all be joined together forever after.
Goodnight my friend.
Love,
Carroll
