You died this evening my very dear and devoted friend. I couldn't have wished for more from a friend and workmate. You were always loyal, honest, hardworking and willing to help out when needed (and sometimes when you weren't). You never turned away when I needed company, many a long hour we spent in the garden or just sitting in the sun together. You took with good grace may ranting and raving when we worked together and things didn't go as planned, you never held a grudge. You listened when I told you my problems, and like a true friend you never interrupted or turned away.
I remember vividly the day we first met, you were so young and so cute. As the years have passed, nearly 15 of them in all, you have worked your way deep into my heart, there always to stay.
I remember those early days when you followed your father around the farm, so keen to learn. When he died you took over as the boss. I watched you grow from puppyhood to maturity, you were truly a hardworking and intelligent workmate and friend.
I love you Mac, and will sorely miss you. Godspeed to the place where all wonderful dogs go, may the sun always shine for you, and your body once again be strong enough to chase birds like you used to do.
Rest in peace till we meet again my friend.
Shirley
