Sheba AKA QUeen of Sheba came to us in 2000 as the last of a litter of kitties who werent quite *right*. Most were inbred but she has a face to melt even the most sodden of hearts. Yes, she too, was inbred as her 7 digit front paws indicated. But we loved her right from the start. Our older cat, Tiger wasnt as thrilled but adaptdly well enough. We had a soaf that one could pull out the middle as a tray for drinks n such. When a person did this, a small hole would open up behind the tray and Sheba loved to snuggle down there. Sometimes, we would even play with her while she was still down in the sofa. She felt safe and happy there. Last night, about 8 pm pacific time, a speeding driver hit and killed our precious baby girl. She dided instantly but the shock is still with me. We dont have a lot of money so we cant afford a burial for her which only added insult to injusry. I was up most of the night crying as I cant believe I lost such a baby girl in such a violent way. I have 4 (now 3) cats and all are indoor/outdoor cats. I know many dont approve of cats being outdoors but alas, that is how it is here. They seem much happier and all are outdoor savvy. The come in every night as well. Please say a small prayer or blessing for our beautiful Sheba...she will be missed and never forgotten.
