A Cat Named Boots
Came into my life
About 13 years ago
the newest member of my family
a cuddly little kitten
so full of life back then
he somehow worked his way
into our hearts
with his affection and silliness
over the years
the friendship and companionship
he offered with no prejudice
would become a priceless relationship
Always there to comfort me
Whenever I was down
He showed me that he loved me
No matter what
I can only hope
that I showed him
just how much he meant to me
and that he knew
Knew that my love for him would spring eternal
Knew that we had a special bond
Knew that he would always be in my heart
It seems unfair that he had to go
Was it really his time?
But I know he is still with me
In my heart and in spirit
It saddens me that my child will never know
Such a loving and affectionate cat
A cat that loved unconditionally
A cat that loved life
A cat that changed my life
A cat named Boots
