Open Letter to Ashley
by Barbara Abel
Dear Ashley, We went on another RV trip -- this time for 3 weeks. How we wish you could have been with us. You would have loved the ocean. Do you remember playing in the surf? We camped right on the beach and there were a lot of furbabies there. How much fun you would have had! Then we went to a RV convention. There was the cutest little puppy there -- only 7 weeks old. You would have been able to play with her, because her people parents let her play with every furbaby there. We tried to see Mt. Rainer and Mt. St. Helen's, but the weather was really rainy. I can remember how you hated to go potty in the rain, and how I had to carry an unbrella before you'd go outside. I really did miss that -- you little stinker! We are going to get a new brother or sister for you soon. Our hearts are so empty. We need to adopt another poor furbaby who has been neglected ... just as you were. But be assured, your memory will be in our hearts forever. You were so special and so much fun. We will be looking forward to seeing you again, someday. Look for us at the Bridge. Love, Mom & Dad
