The summer of 2000 , two horses I was taking care of, one was Black throughbred used to be in race, Jet and bay horse,Daisy, they both are so close...one early afternoon in the middle of July I was coming to the ranch to work on horses as I got there...I noticed Jet running back and forth in his pasture, and kicking the gate, i walked down and open the gate to see what was wrong, out of the blue jet zoomed out as i open the gate and ran fast and i noticed daisy wasnt in the pasture so I went to where Jet was going...there was daisy laying being beated by two guys that was working there, this guy was drunk beating with his belt and his nephew helped I ran and made them stop. I held daisy head, I look up to Jet and told him thank you. Daisy looks awful, the owner of farm came and told him then he called the vet and they brought trailer, couldn't get her up to get in trailer and she fall back down to the ground laying and i held her again. I noticed the vet and the owner was talking then the vet got needle and i knew what he gonna do and i started to cry as she drifted to sleep with her head on my lap, Jet knew and he went crazy running around. Couple of days pass by Jet didnt want eat, run, wont ride or anything and I knew he's missing Daisy. I left for lunch and came back and went to all pastures to fill up water then to Jet's pasture something got my attention, he was laying down I ran to him, he was dead, he wanted to be with Daisy up in horses heaven. I say to myself why is this happening to me. I had hard time. After new year this year 2002 this nice brown bay died in his stall to find out it was brain tumor and gone to horses heaven and hopfully Jet and Daisy knows he from the same farm and take care of him for us. A friend of mine, their horse died recently from vaccinaties reaction,and it scares me everytime i get their vaccines two times a year since i have two horses of mine own. I know god is taking care of those horses being missed and they are together in horses heaven taking care of each other and watching over their friends on this farm: Daisy, Jet, Faven, and Shadow we will never forget you guys we love you.
