Pookie was an apricot colored tea cup poodle who left us for rainbow bridge on March 6 2003. She took our hearts with her. She belonged to my parents, but she touched my heart like a sister. She was getting old (11 years old), and she was having health problems. Collapsed trachea, leaky heart valve, and fluid in her lungs. Her last days were hard, because she was suffering. She was having a real hard time breathing. My parents have been soooo lost without her. She was their baby. My brother and I are grown and out, so Pookie was all they had left at home. She was such a heart stealer. She would sneeze to get your attention. We used to say she had so much love that the little hearts just fell off of her. She slept between my parents for 11 years,and has left the largest, emptiest hole in all our hearts. You never realize how much you love them till it's time to say goodbye. You just assume they will always be there to snuggle at bedtime, or to nuzzle with just because they are there. Always be sure to love your babies today, because time can be cut soo short. Goodbye our sweet girl..you will always be in our hearts and in our minds, and always remember how much we all love you and miss you. Someday we will all meet again and cross the bridge together. Until then..rest easy my sister.. Love you!!
