Welcome to Special K (aka Peanut)'s Rainbow Bridge Memorial Residency
Memories of Special K (aka Peanut)
There is not a day goes by that we don't remember you, Peanut. Rejected by his feral mom because of his bowlegs, Special K aka Peanut was hand raised, bottle fed by his humans. He was always into mischief, never knew the word no, had a toothy grin, loved the high perch on the cat tree and climbing on the counters, fridge, and top of the kitchen cupboards. He loved to help us make the bed. We would get him cradled on a blanket and swing him back and forth. He groomed his humans. Loved to snuggle by his human mom. Loved rolling in the catnip. He would practically climb the wall for the laser red dot. When the sun was out, he loved playing with the rainbows projecting from the crystal hanging in the window. His favorite toy was the bai drink round plastic top that we'd throw and he'd fetch back. He had spurts where he'd tear around like a banshee. He'd never waste a sunspot. He left us fast from kidney failure and it took his humans a while to create this memorial because we were sad. But we know he is waiting for us when it is our time. Sometimes we stillsee him out of the corner of our eyes. Sometimes Kittyhawk, his brother from another mother, feels him too. We all looked out the bedroom door into the living room when we heard a jingle toy on the floor make a noise for no reason shortly after he passed. So Special K, sweet boy, you know we loved you and are so grateful we had you in our lives. We'll see you again. Love from your humans and Kittyhawk
