Memories of Slacker
Slacker loved his toys and wasn't happy unless he was on the couch or in our bed with us, where he'd alternate between being under the covers to just being in his own bed. He'd wake us up when he "needed" something, usually Amy during the week and me on the weekends; he'd see me stirring, his signal to creep towards me to say good morning, lay his head on me, get his scratches and then onto his routine.

We'd take him to the dog parks, let him run around, or visit with his dog cousins and whatnot, and his stays at the Orlando Canine Country Club where he'd gain the title of "toy monger". He loved visitors, and wanted to greet everyone, and he'd grab a toy and bring it with him to the front door to show you.

The years flew by, because time stops for no one, and those early years turned into 5 years, 10 years, all along his brightness and affection pouring through him into you. I'd be the first home from work most days, let him out, feed him, then when done, he'd bound into our bed, waiting for me to come in there, to slide close to him, he'd then lay on his side, so he could snuggle with me for a bit before Amy got home, and his attention was then directed towards her. He was our "Dodger Dog", as his arrival in our lives in March of 2013 was the beginning of the Dodgers current run 14 years of consecutive playoff appearances.
