Memories of Skip
Skip was born on the 3rd of September 2010. We got him on the 3rd of December 2010. He was so small at the time that he couldnt climb the stairs. skip came most places with me when i was working, Skip saw my 3 of my 4 grandchildren being born, we brought him on many leisure trips and one of his favourite places was Clare Island. He also climbed Croagh Patrick with me 3 times. The first year skip had a lot of accidents but after that he was very lucky. Skip was with us for 14.5 years, during that time my grandchildren and myself had some great times with him, which we will never forget. On the 22nd of April 2025 Skip got seriously ill, my daughter Eva and myself brought him to the vet and over a week or two he recovered somewhat. Unfortunately it turned out that lymphoma and theres really no cure for that because of his age so we were advised to keep him comfortable for the time he had left so he was slowly going downhill, and on the 21st of may he was in a lot of pain so we decided it was best to put him to sleep. It was one of the hardest descicions to make in recent years. He was the best boy ever and myself and our grabdkids will remember him for years to come.
