As a young cat, Simon made friends with everyone he met. He & Skippy became "bro's", he regarded his elders Fransis & Mario with respect, & mostly loved to be with his mom, lay around, & do lazy hunting.

Simon was always very vocal, announcing daily news everywhere he went, telling everyone stories: He talked about everything: the weather, the latest options for an afternoon kill, even the best lap to sit on depending on the time of day. He was "The Man".

He spent his summers gardening, fishing, lazing about, & loved to go on walks. He spent winters snuggled up with his humans, & always eating! He loved bringing mice & birds into the house just for fun. Simon was a climber, a fence-jumper, & loved getting groomed & held by anyone who would tolerate him. He spent a lot of time reading, & was smarter than we know!

While Simon was such a gentle soul, he was also a badass cat. Predators didn't scare him, & his presence commanded attention wherever he was. He rallied gangs of raccoons & other cats, & even once took on a pitbull & showed him who's boss!

I know Simon will rest easy as he enters the next world to go hang out with Skippy & other animal angels. The family often jokes that he had the best life, with everyone always watching out for him. He is survived by his human family, his sister Sushi, Mr. Fish, his animal cousins Rosie, JoJo, Marty, Obi, Tiggy, & his mother Sierra. He is also preceded in death by his feline brother Mario, his canine brother Fransis, & his many fish siblings.

Simon was a big guy. Our home is so quiet without his heartbeat, and his chill, calm presence will be missed so very much. The Dude Abides.
