Memories of Shiloh
Shiloh and Henry were bonded brothers that we adopted from a friend.

Shiloh was the lovable one and weighed over 25 pounds! Of course he was the one that wanted to be held. Henry, his brother was a little more on the wild side and not fond of love. They played together and fought like typical siblings.

Shiloh loved to play with ice. When he heard the ice maker going he'd run out to the kitchen and wait. I'd find a small crushed size cube and toss it in the air. Most of the time he would catch it or bat into another room. He would chase it until it melted and he would look at me like, hey...what happened? Henry caught on and would wait on the other side of the hallway to the kitchen for Shiloh to come out. Henry would pounce on him. Bully. Henry wasn't into the ice cube thing but made sure Shiloh knew he was waiting for him. Shiloh fell for it every time.

Shiloh didn't have the usual meow like most cats. He howled and cackled. It really sounded like, "Ca ca caaaawwww..." It was loud. He would also jiggle the bedroom door knob when he wanted us to come out or feed him. He loved his food.

There are so many memories and pictures. He would hog the couch and really didn't like it if one of us were lying on it. He would try to cram his way in and sometimes eventually he'd get frustrated and leave. Other times we'd just give in and make room. He was a big love bug and you could do anything to him. He was very flexible and loved to hang upside down.

His death was very unexpected. He hadn't been sick at all. He was a big boy but so is his brother. He lived a good life as a very pampered cat. Henry misses him too. They were bonded from birth that is why we took both males. They were meant to be together. Shiloh would be 11 years old in April of this year. Gone too soon.

We are so heartbroken and sad that he left us so suddenly without a chance to save him. I hope he knows how much we loved him. How much we miss him so.
