Shadow came into my life when he was almost 2 years old. His original owner was sadly involved in a nasty divorce & unfortunately, moving back in with her parents....Shadow was not invited :( Apparently, her ex wasn't a dog person & not very nice to sweet little Shadow. This caused an awful fear of men. I never met the guy, which is probably a good thing....I have a VERY vivid imagination & ideas on how to handle animal abusers!!! My sister is actually the one who found Shadow. She was in her Senior year at Texas A&M & I was living with her in a cute little 2 bedroom apartment in College Station. We both wanted a dog, but living in an apartment, knew we would be limited on the breed of dog....so, we decided on a Sheltie, but while visiting her then boyfriend one weekend, she heard about this timid little Cocker Spaniel named Shadow....almost 2 years old & needed a new home PRONTO!!! I took one look at him & new he was mine & the rest is history!!! Shadow eventually got over his fear of men & lived the rest of his life with nothing but love & fun....NO abuse ever again!!! I will forever love you, my beautiful black Shadow!!! Please also visit Chase. |
