Memories of Scarlet

Scarlet was adopted from Animal Rescue League of Iowa on Valentine's Day, 1998. She was the greatest Valentine's Day gift ever. She was very friendly and playful and loved people. She was full of fire, spunk and definitely lived up to the "tortitude" tortie cats are known for. She enjoyed galloping through the house and doing a flying squirrel impersonation down the stairs. Playing with feather toys, furry mice and especially the pink elephant were some of her favorite things. She also liked being in a lap (especially Daddy's), watching the world go by on the back of the couch, laying in the tent Grandma bought her, and of course sleeping. She was a gravy addict. There wasn't a day that went by that she didn't drive Mommy crazy asking for an extra packet of gravy, which she usually got! She loved helping with puzzles and batted many puzzle pieces off of the table onto the floor over the years. Mommy and Daddy will love you forever baby girl. You will always be our Girlie. No one could ever take your place. We hope we gave you an amazing life. Your presence made ours amazing. We will see you on the other side of the bridge.
