Memories of Samson
He was always watching over us. He was always at the door when you left for work and at the car door when returning home. He loved us unconditionally. He was kind to all men and protected all. He was my sons best play mate growing up and my best companion around our property, Now there is an emptiness that you feel as soon as you walk out of the house, He was the best dog ever. We can never replace Sam. Once I saw Sam stand down A black bear in our yard. He was fearless and chased that bear out of site. Each morning when I left for work Sam would follow me to the car, I would pet him and say Sam go guard the house, Sam would turn and go lay on the porch watching me drive away. He especially enjoyed playing with his boy, our son now 27. Even late in years he would light up like a puppy when our son came home from college and later his own house. He loved swimming in the lake and retrieving sticks tirelessly as long as someone would throw them. His mom was a German Shepard. His dad was a German Shepard Aikido mix. That makes for a great dog.
