We got Sadie from a neighbor who couldn't take care of her any more, she was a dark tan color almost reddish, such a fun little dog. We cared for her, she slept in our bed at night she had a special window we opened for her no matter how hot of how cold it was we opened it. She barked at the air out side or everything that moved. She would talks to us. Look at us and we knew what she wanted. I would tell her something and it seemed she knew exactly what I said. She loved car rides, we would take her on 8 hour trips we made a spot of pillow in the back seat on the hump so she could sit up with us. She was a kisser, when she wanted something she would paw us softly. She would wait until we were done eating and eat the smell off our plates. She loved kids!! She loved to look into the trees at the birds and the squirrels she was determined to get a squirrel someday. This past May she hurt her knee which set her back a notch but she did well getting over that, limped just a little. This past week she quit eating, quit sleeping with us, it was all she could do to walk a short distance she lost 13 # in 3 months, she was ill and the vet said there was a good change they could not save her... she was in Severe Diabetic Ketoacidois. We reluctantly put her to sleep because she was suffering and too far ill to make her what she was. I Love You Sadie You was your dad's best dog ever. 2006- 12-15-16 RIP FUR BABY! |
