Memories of Robert & Malcolm
Robert and Malcolm were two brothers. We adopted them from Cats Protection. They were only 4 months old and were found in an abandoned mine. Unfortunately we lost Malcolm just after he turned 1 year old on 31 May 2014. He was hit by a car and ran into the woods. We never found him. Robert was also tragically hit by a car and passed away on 28 November 2015. A neighbour brought Robert to our door, so at least we had him. Robert was only 2 and a half years old. Both of our babies gone so tragically and so soon, it's just not fair.

Malcolm was a wee character who was so affectionate, especially when food was around. He had an ingrown claw on one of his paws. We had the claw removed but it didn't stop him getting out and having fun. Robert was a beautiful natured cat. He always slept with me and was a great comfort to me when we lost Malcolm. 6 months after we lost Malcolm, we decided to adopt two wee kittens, again from Cats Protection. We thought Robert was lonely and missed Malcolm. I knew we were taking a chance as cats can be very territorial. We got wee Arnold and Nancy a year ago and Robert took to them almost immediately. We introduced them over a few weeks to ensure Robert had time to get used to them and the new wee babies settled in well. They were only 6 weeks old when we got them. I couldn't believe how well Robert took to them and we were so proud of him. So the three of them had fun for a year or so.

We all miss Robert so much and of course wee Malcolm too. Thanks Robert and Malcolm for finding us and we're so sorry to have only had you both for a short time. The time we had with you was precious.

Lots of love,

Mum & Dad, Arnold & Nancy

P.s. Granny Isobel misses you lots too.
