You joined our family at the age of about 13. Our friend and your dad at the time could no longer keep you so we adopted you having known you for the past several years. Our dog Hope accepted you into our home and although never close buddies the two of you got along ok. We had not had a little dog like you in the past but very soon we fell in love with every one of your 18 pounds. Your very cute and unique walk and run still puts a smile on my face. You would dance and prance as you ran and as your hind feet caught up to your front feet you would skip sideways to get back in step. So very cute. Leash, who needs a leash, you would stay close to us and never wander more than a few feet from us as if you were on an invisible leash. You slept in our bed but demanded your space. If we touched you while sleeping you would grumble to say stop touching me. Never really liked being held but showed us your love for us in so many ways. On your terms you would cuddle with us, run and play with us, walk the beach with us and so much more. Our love for you never tired and the 5 years we had with you will never be forgotten and will always put a smile on our faces. You were active and adventurous to nearly the very end. You beat a liver disease and were with us an additional 2 years. At the end you were with us as we held you in our arms that morning, you looked up at us as if to say, it's ok, you will be ok without me and than passed away peacefully in our arms. We miss you so very much our sweet little boy. Will see you again soon at the Rainbow Bridge and will cross it together.
