Memories of Nakita
Nakita was a special, happy dog. She would mind if a reward (treat) was involved! She loved to greet grandma at the door as a puppy and untie her shoes. She loved music and would pounce from side to side in the most crazy way as a young one. She was full of life, and always made everyone laugh. She entertained guests to no end, she thought company was here for her. All who met her, absolutely loved her. She was a sweet dog, without an ounce of mean in her. She loved greet everyone with a bow and her famous A-Rooo and we could always A-Roo back and it could go on and on forever if we allowed. She loved winter, snow and making mom a little upset when she would refuse to come in the house for the evening. She also loved her pink tennis shoe, she was welcomed with, when we brought her home. This was her favorite toy, she would carry it around and lay down with it very guarded so that the other dogs couldn't touch it. We finally had to throw it away after 10 years and never could find another like it. In her young years she escaped from the yard a few times. Once she and Athena got 10 miles away on the bad side of Rockford, she had a tag with her name, address and phone number. Her and Athena greeted a man in his front yard when he got home from work at 2am. I received the call that he had them, I was happy and also disgusted as we searched for hours on foot and by car for them. I was most of all grateful to have her and Athena back safe. She also ran off with a stray husky and ended up a few blocks away, the lady was going to bring both her and the stray, had to tell her I have 4 huskys, but only 1 you have is mine. A week before she crossed the rainbow bridge, her pack mate Athena had to be pulled across our hard floors by blanket (the magic carpet ride) due to her arthritis, as I pulled her across my kitchen floor, Nakita jumped on and went for a ride too. Nakita brought so much joy, laughs and happiness to our family, words just cannot describe. I know I will shed many tears over losing her, she will always be in my heart with fond memories and an unbreakable bond. I Love You, my Nakita Bita, you are the absolute best, now go run without any boundaries and enjoy your new life on the other side, til we meet again!

Please also visit Athena.
