Memories of Murphy Coal Harris
We are so thankful to have had you in our lives for 11 years. You were the protector of the house, the perfect guard dog. You had a job to do and you took it seriously. You were a faithful companion and loyal friend. You always greeted us with a smile, lick and a tail wag. We expect to hear the paw prints on the wood floors or the barking if the UPS man comes by. Your presence of checking on us or just wanting a little pet on the head would make us feel safe. You loved to be sung to and would even sing back sometimes. Donut holes were your favorite as going bye-bye in the car was too. You went everywhere with us and weren't just a dog...but my baby. I loved giving you kisses and hugs and you returned them back. As you peacefully passed, we were all there with you, hugging you, kissing you, stroking your fur, comforting you. You remain with us always, near the front of the house, protecting us. We miss you so much and will always have a special place in our hearts for you, our MurMur.

Thank you Ginny Brancato for this poem:

Mommy, I want you to know...

Mommy, I want you to know,my journey to the bridge was fine.... Mommy I want you to know, it was time....time for me to go, but I am not far away, look for a sign,I'll send to you, a rainbow, a dream, a song or two.

Mommy I will never ever forget you, our love is too strong to ever die, Mommy, please don't cry, for I will always be near, listen for me, in the rush of the wind,a splash in the sea, Mommy, forever "we" will always be..

Time cannot erase the bond we shared, the love you gave ,the way you cared...for me on earth...Mommy, I can never forget you, Oh what a joyous reunion it will be,a time of delight, when we meet again,,

Mommy, I want you to know,my journey to the bridge was fine.... Mommy I want you to know, it was time....time for me to go, but I am not far away, look for a sign,I'll send to you, a rainbow, a dream, a song or two. Mommy, always remember, I love you...
