Memories of Morsel
From the first week at your new home, you learned how to get your way. I tried to put you in your own bed and you played dead. Then, for the next 18 years, you slept in bed with either me or Chelsea.

We fed you by hand for fear that you would not eat enough, and from then on you never missed a meal (or snack). You became obsessed with your food choices. You also loved your sticks.

You went with us everywhere we could take you. We tried the movies once, but never did that again. Restaurants did not work because you wanted our food. But you did go to New York, the University of Florida, and church.

You loved to lick. You would kiss our tears and loved on strangers.

You loved to sleep. You had more beds than any dog, especially considering the beds were only a foot apart.

You loved the sun. As long as you didn't get too hot. You liked the cooler temperatures.

While you were stubborn and strong-willed, you were so sweet and loving. And, most of all, you loved us.
