Memories of Mischief
It doesn't seem that long ago that I saw you and your brother. I quickly took you into our home and knew at that moment that you and your brother have found a home. You were the quiet one of them all. You loved to be around all of us. You loved snuggling in bed with us. You would stay by Dad all the time. While the others played, you loved basking in the sunshine. If there was a box on the floor regardless of the size, you were in it. You bought us such joy. The day after Christmas is when you got sick and thought we would loose you that day, but we prayed and got a Christmas miracle. The vets were able to get the fluid out of your lungs and stabilized you and by the end of the day, you were able to come home! We had found you a great Cardio vet who put you on meds because of your heart. You took the meds easily when they were in treats, but once you found that the treat had meds in it, you were a tough cookie to fool. We tried with the pill popper but you didn't like that, then we tried liquid and that made you foam at the mouth we got two flavors too but you didn't like it so we went back to pills. It got more difficult each day. We also noticed that you were loosing weight - you used to be 24 pounds, but when we started with the Cardio Dr you were 21, then 19 then 14 and at that time the Vet took blood work and found all to be good, but could be underlying cancer issues. It was just attacking your body. We got special food for you and I even pureed food so you could lap it up. Nothing seemed to work and you just got so weak. We dreaded the day would come, but we are Blessed to have had you four extra months. Taking you to the Vet was the hardest thing to do, but we didn't want you to suffer. We loved you so much. We miss you. Now you are in Heaven with Misty, Stickers, Baby, Tiger and Cleo.
