Memories of Maximus
"Clearly God loves animals. He filled the Garden of Eden with them, preserved them during the Flood,
and expressed concern about the cattle of Nineveh at the end of the book of Jonah. God undoubtedly created animals to be lessons for us." Wouldn't it be wonderful, if we were all as loyal and forgiving as our furbabies?

My dearest Max,
You were truly the smartest dog that ever walked the face of this earth. When I would put my shoes on to go to work you knew it was time to go to your kennnel and I did not teach you that. you showed me where your lost toys were under which Piece furniture I did not teach you that. You thought you were the boss of me and every night try to tell me what time I need to go to sleep. That was funny. Somehow you knew when I was sick and you acted a lot more protective of me when I was sick. You were definitely a smart dog. I don't have kids, therefore YOU WERE MY KID. There will never be another you because you are irreplaceable.

22 days later.......my heart still aches. When Daddy goes on his fishing trips, you were here with me as my protector, my companion, my buddy, my shadow, my everything. You brought me so much joy and happiness. I still miss you sooo much.

It's been a whole month and my heart still aches like crazy!
I am sure you miss mommy and daddy too but I also know that you are on the green meadow running around with all of your new friends. I'm squeezing you tight right now, can u feel it?

My dear Max! Today marks 90 days that you have been gone. My heart is still broken and hurting and I miss you soooo much. I'm sure you have made lots of friends and are enjoying you new life at the bridge. If Love Could Have Saved You, You Would Have Lived Forever. I MISS YOU MY SWEET MAX and will love you forever.
