Welcome to Maurice's Rainbow Bridge Memorial Residency
Memories of Maurice
Maurice, you picked Momma when you were just a little kitten. You always wanted to be close to me, quickly jumping on my lap the minute I sat down. In almost 14 years, I have not sat alone, until now. You have always been a good boy, being the big brother to Shelby and Jessie for so many years. Always ready for your meal time, you would jump up to your spot, sit and patiently wait to be served. And when your kibble bowl started getting a little low, or rather, when you could start to see the bottom of the bowl, you would meow just enough to let Momma know it needed to be filled back up. You were the most handsome guy I have ever seen. When you would sit so regal, with your front paws crossed. You looked like the lion king you are. And Momma always knew when you played with your toys during the day, because you would pull them all out of your toy box until you found the exact one you wanted. As the years passed I watched your orange and white coat turn faded in color. I watched you mature and age and you slowed down slightly, not jumping up and down as you once did. We got through that scare last year when you had acute pancreatitis. Thank you Lord, my handsome pulled through. We had more time together. But it was to be short. You started to become ill quickly, and the vet found you had pancreatic cancer. My handsome guy was declining faster than Momma could comprehend what was happening. But the good vet saw that it was your time and I had to let you go to the Rainbow Bridge. Momma will never forget you. I miss you every, single day. I love you so, so, so much. Until I see you again my handsome Maurice! Wait for Momma!!!
