Memories of Makiya
Makiya passed away on April 5th 2010, It was Easter Day and Makiya was just laying around the house.Makiya did not eat at all that day, but she did drink water off and on, I tried to make her as comfortable as possible, I held her and rock her in my arms all night, Makiya has a partner which she left behind, his name is Nam. Nam cried & licked over Makiya several times on Sunday knowing that she did not feel well. But I just did not think it was that bad, thinking that she would come around. I carried her upstairs with me on Sunday night and laid her in her bed and continued to check on her all night long, she seem to be still resting comfortably. The first thing Monday morning I checked on her she was still breathing, I called the Vet and explained what was happening, they told me to bring her in right away, I picked Makiya up and put her in my arms and held her so close and begged her not to leave me, I carried her down stairs while I was getting dressed to take her to the Vet,I was back down stairs in 5 minutes to take her to the Vet. My mother said to me: Robin, Makiya is not breathing. I screamed and cried so hard, it felt like part of my life was taken away, I called the Vet and they told me to still bring her in.The Doctor confirmed that she had died.
It is just so hard for me right now, We have been together for such a long time and shared so many great moments together. Makiya had a wonderful long life,I loved her so much.
Now I need to comfort Nam,he is very very lonely without her.
Please keep the both of us in Prayer as we try to move forward.
