Memories of Maggie
Maggie when you came into our hearts 10 years ago none of us would have known how special it would be. You were so afraid, so scared. Then you received unconditional love and in turn after a while you opened your heart to us and it was never the same again. So much fun. So sweet. So many treats. You always looked to us for praise. You are our little girl.So you slowly forgot about all of your hurtful past and left that behind you. You were a dream girl. Never ran away. Never needed a leash. Loved your food. Never needed to be caged. Never chewed on anything. You never got sick. You were perfect. You followed mum-ma like her little shadow. You gave us your special welcome home greeting every time.

Then your ears went silent and you gave us your full trust to protect you and we did. Then the one thing we could not protect you from was old age. It crept up slowly and then it overtook you. We could tell in your eyes. Your welcome greeting stopped. But you still glowed when you saw us. Finally yesterday you let us know that it was time. We took you to the Rainbow Bridge where you still were your sweet self. We gave you a last bite of your favorite pop-tart for the journey across the bridge and sent you with a single rose from daddy who loved his girl so so much. Honey you will never be forgotten by us and a candle next to your picture and collar will shine bright for you so you will always see the way. Sweetheart enjoy the Rainbow Bridge and all the peace it has to offer you. I promise we "will" meet again and I will hold you tight. Rest in peace my little girl, rest in peace. Love Daddy & Mum-Ma
