Memories of Lucy
With deep sadness and broken hearts, we share that our sweet Lucy "Lil Goosey" Patootie Holman passed away peacefully on June 7th, 2026 in Momma's arms, with Daddy and Lea by her side. 😭💔🌈🐾

Lucy is no longer in pain. Even through every challenge she faced, she fought with the heart of a true warrior with a side of smug. 💛 She was loyal, gentle, well-behaved, incredibly sweet, and just stubborn enough to keep us on our toes. She will forever be "Momma's lil SmugPug" and "Daddy's nighttime cuddle buddy." ♥️

For 5 years, 10 months, and 9 days, Lucy loved us unconditionally, and we were blessed have been given the chance to love her right back❣️

Our journey together began on July 29, 2020, when we rescued her from the Walmart parking lot in Sevierville in the middle of c0vid. All she came with was the name Lucy, an infestation of fleas, and a long patch of missing hair on her back. Lea and I had planned to take her to the Nashville Pug Rescue in Nashville because I didn't think I was ready for another dog. BUT after giving her a flea treatment, a bath, and combing away all those fleas, she made her decision, she LOVED us, and I couldn't let her go because I already LOVED her too! 🥰🥰 We happily paid the adoption fee and kept her home forever. 💸

Lucy helped heal our hearts after losing Layla Pug. ❤️‍🩹 We worked hard to help her regain her health, from treating her mobility issues to taking her to UT for water therapy and shockwave treatments. As she aged, we hand-fed her on most days and helped her with things she could no longer do on her own. Through it all, she remained happy, loving, and full of spirit. 💪

This past week, we knew her little body was growing tired, but her heart never stopped fighting. 💔😭

Thank you, Lucy, for every cuddle, every silly pug smile, every animated yawn, every squeaky bark, and every moment of unconditional love. You changed our lives in ways you'll never know. 🥰

Run free, sweet little one. Until we meet again. Momma, Daddy & Lea 💔🌈🐾
