Memories of Lucky Stone
Lucky was an amazing dog... A protector (she personally removed from her yard... 9 groundhogs, 2 skunks, 1 raccoon and countless squirrels and rabbits). Her favorite season of the year was Winter; Lucky & Katie LOVED the snow!
Lucky would give a lick (kiss) to anyone who needed one. From the time I awoke until the time I was ready to call it a day, I knew I could count on Lucky to be at my side...

Lucky was the total package of brains, beauty, compassion and ability... From the first time we met at the Delaware Puppy Rescue, we knew we were meant for each other (her previous owner gave her up because she was pregnant... who's fault was that, idiot?) On July 10, 2017, Lucky took her finally breath and with her tongue sticking out, she laid her head in my lap and slipped away.

Lucky loved her car rides, especially driving to Niagara Falls to visit Grandma. In Niagara, she could run in the yard and chase black squirrels or go down to the Niagara River for a swim. On one of our trips, Lucky even scared a black bear cub away from me. (As time passed and the years slipped away... when car rides became too much for her, I knew our time together was nearing the end.)

Lucky loved to go for runs, especially through the Middle Run Crossing bike trails. Lucky really enjoyed these runs when Jasmine was with her to share in her Park experiences. On one occasion, Lucky & Jazz chased a herd of deer... Lucky even came back with white fur in her mouth; white hair from the tail of one does she was chasing.

Lucky was the "Queen" of the household from the moment she came home from the Delaware Puppy Rescue. Thank you Lisa Obrecht for telling me about the DPR posting and THANK YOU Dianne Hess for opening your home in Iron Gates, Hockessin and now Landenberg, PA and allowing Alice and I to take "Lucky Lady" home with us on April 8, 2005. (Also for BECOMING A GREAT FRIEND!) Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Lucky Lady and (Kissing) Katie (who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on October 1, 2012) both (more so than the rest of the Pack), truly loved to play in snow... They would run & run, using their bodies to plow through the fluffy, white crystallized water (we humans call snow).

There were so many experiences Lucky and I shared through our 12 years together... I promise I will never forget you "Girl"; you will always be in my heart; and I look forward to the time we are together again. I love you, Lucky!
