Lola entered our lives when she was just 8 months old. My husband's client had this beautiful dog that needed a home. When he saw her in his office one morning he shared a everything bagel with her and from that moment he was in love. He brought her home and she met my sidekick Sonik and they became instant friends. She then opened her paws to our sweet little Amber (Teacup Yorkie) and always made sure she was okay. Although, Lola was a chocolate Doberman, she was the gentlest dog in the world. She stood by my side throughout my two pregnancies and when the children were born, she was always their FIERCE protector. At the same time, she was so gentle with their little hands when they gave her treats and knew exactly how to play tug-of-war with these little people. When Lola was 11 years old and both my Sonik and Amber had passed on she welcomed a new puppy Weimaraner and quickly taught him all the ropes, while maintaining her alpha status. Lola was the epitome of the perfect dog. She was so loving, gentle, compassionate, brave and yet a protector when needed. Everyone loved LOLA so much, because she made friends with everyone who ever had the privilege to meet her. Lola once jumped in the lake to "rescue" people that were cliff diving (lol)-that's who Lola was. Our hearts were so broken when she passed away very suddenly. But in true Lola fashion she never let on that she was ill and ran, played and loved us all up to the very end. In her final moments she spoke volumes with her expressive eyes and let us all know she was okay and passed very peacefully. Even at the end Lola was making sure we were okay. We are so grateful to have had 12 amazing years with her, she was everything to us: our baby, our best friend, our protector and our sweet angel. To my sweet Lola: You are missed dearly and we will NEVER forget all the wonderful memories we shared with you. The many hours of play and snuggles, the runs on the dog beach and the road trip to Ohio with Daddy. We carry the love we have for you and the love you gave to us in our hearts always. Although you are no longer here in body, we know the presence of your beautiful soul will always remain in this world. We love you and miss you dearly. Till we meet again, RIP my sweet Lola
