Welcome to Little Bit's Rainbow Bridge Memorial Residency
Memories of Little Bit
In 2008, in the apartment complex I lived in, someone moved in with a beautiful Siamese that she just let roam around. She was never home and I started hanging out with him. I asked if I could take him in and she agreed. His name was Little Bit. He was about 5 or 6, a beautiful seal point. He took to me immediately, he knew we were meant to be. I few years later, I moved from Vegas where we met, to Southern California. He became quite the hunter, lizards, mice, were his gifts to me. He was incredibly intelligent and all the neighbors really liked him. He was what I called a 'social butterfly'. He loved to meet new people. His friends were Zeus, a rottweiler mix and Sparky. He lived in Vegas with 6 other cats and Athena, an Australian cattle dog and my ex. I went back to Vegas after about 4 years, and he met up again with those 6 cats and Athena. In the last year of his life, he would walk with me when I took the dogs out. The whole neighborhood was amazed and he became known and loved by the entire neighborhood. He was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease 1 year ago. He was well taken care of and the last year of his life was a good one. Until about a week ago. I noticed he was changing. Not going out and just laying out on the window sill in the front of the house. It was obvious that the disease was catching up to him. Today, it was plain that this gorgeous, friendly and intelligent kitty, who was loved by so many, was not going to last much longer. He gave me that look that said to me "I love you Dad, but I hurt. Please help me to go peacefully'. So I made the decision to let him go. He died 10:00 am May 19th. He was a ray of sunshine in my life. A great cat who really loved people and got along well with other animals. My life will always be richer for having him by my side all these years. My only regret, is that we didn't meet sooner! I love you Little Bit and will never forget you. I will meet you again at the Bridge.
