To My Lily, I heard this too and thought of you. We taught each other how to love. You taught me how precious life was with you Im missing you snd it's has been the hardest time without you -- still Really hope you're taking care of grandpa and Joey. I'll meet you at the bridge. Please wait for me. I love you so very much. You were a miracle, guardian angel, for all of us, especially me. You kept me alive every day and I can't wait to see you again 💞🫠❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹 mom🫂😘 Special Thank you goes out to Lily's "Guardian Angel" and dear friend Dr Kimberly Halpert, Lily's primary DVM from April 2009 to the last moment this past Wed Dec 6,2023. Dr Halpert helped navigate the many puzzles and issues with this special Eskie, as well as me, not an easy feat. She helped me keep her with us just weeks shy of 15 yrs. We all made a pact that when Lily lost her Eskie smile, and her quality of life was anything less then happy, I promised her no heroic measures to selfishly keep her with me. We were coming to see Auntie Kim for shots and hopefully a teeth clean. She was tested and cleared for the visit. She rode to NH to see family, ran to the door as always, ate her supper and climbed on the couch with me to snore through my movie. That was 11pm. By 3 am she was up coughing which wasn't new. But by 4 am, I knew, we both knew. It was so fast. I couldn't get her to auntie Kim's special room for her. Nothing went as planned or as I had promised. Dr Halpert was as stunned and her eyes were like mine. She was waiting as we pulled the car in. She treated us as if she was every bit a part of our family and I will never forget our love, her kindness, her patience, and her knowledge of lily as if she were her own. I will always love, Dr. Kim I help her with all my heart and I think her for everything she did tell me keep Lily healthy, and with me for as long as I had her. She's a brilliant veterinarian who knows her patience like a pediatrician would know a child which they had through their 18 years. I was blessed to have her as Lily's doctor from day one . The world of veterinary medicine should be honored to have her. I'm very proud to call "Auntie"Kim family. 🫂❤️🫠 Thank You to the entire team at Abbotts and Auburn. You all went above and beyond for me and Lily, for all the pets we've had since Dr Wayne ran Abbotts. a🙏🙏❤️ The McGuire, Forzley-Hart Familys One of the hardest things we do in life is say goodbye. It's with an extremely heavy heart that our family must say goodbye to our American Eskimo, Lily. February would have been almost 15 years with this special girl. If you know my mom, you know she was my mother's ever-adoring shadow. She was like a sibling to me and was my mother's constant companion. Words can't express just how wonderful of a gift she was to our family. She was pure sweetness, loyalty, gentleness, and comfort for all of us. She kept us safe from strange noises and package deliveries. She made sure all our food was tested for quality assurance. She was a warm blanket on winter nights and a fan hog in the summer. She forever smelled of baby powder and freshly cut grass. She will always be our road trip passenger princess and forever Gram's noble navigator. We'll miss her opinionated "oofs" and her excited trot to meet us at the door. To our sweet fluffy Lilygirl... we love you so much. If you're a pet owner, give them an extra hug for us, and if you see or talk to my mom Krissy McGuire- give her an extra squeeze or send her a laugh for me.💜 2.17.09-12.06.23 |
