Dear Butthead (as I like to call you). You're the sweetest and most stubborn dog. You're such a good girl. I'm writing in present tense not because I'm in denial. You may have passed, but you're definitely not lost to me. I don't necessarily believe in Rainbow Bridge, but energy can neither be created nor destroyed. So though your physical presence is no longer with me, your spirit or energy remains. And our bond continues to grow. I will call on you now and again when things hurt too much or I want to share something good or I just want to feel your presence - that means I'll be calling on you a lot, but explore the world as you always have, with awe and wonder. And someday when I leave this body, we can explore together in the same form. Love you always.
