Memories of Junior Hicks
My beautiful dog is gone and I can't even tell you with words how much of a friend he was to me. How much of a companion, buddy, everything. Those don't really do it justice. He has been here for me since the third grade when I moved to Illinois and didn't know anyone. He's been here through middle school and high school and all the crap that comes with those. He's been here even more recently when I've been going through depression and anxiety myself. They never care how we look or dress, they just care about us on the inside. That's what I liked about Junior. Here through all times not just the good, not just the bad. Here through it all. Always. He was the best dog I could've ever asked for and the best dog in the world, if I do say so myself. He loves everyone he meets and he loves his treats as well. I've been teaching him tricks and he's such a smart dog, so smart. I wish I could walk him more and I'm mad at myself I didn't walk him when he wanted to go for one. I'm sad about those moments but I know he loved me as well. He loved to lick and show affection and although I would rarely let him lick me, yesterday I let him lick my face all he wanted because I knew he felt weak and didn't even want to move or lift his head, but he loved me enough to lick and he wanted to show that he cared. He cared so much and I cared so much for him as well. I hate this past tense. I still care for him. He is a great dog. He is my best friend of all time. If you know Junior you know how he is. He's loving, he cares, and he is a fighter. I hope he's okay now. I love you, Junior, so much beautiful. I love you so much and I always will. I will always think of you and remember you even if it's the last thing I remember. I love and miss you so much my beautiful dog. I love you.
