Memories of Julie Rose
We will always treasure the years and every lasting moment we had with you Julie. You came to us as a gift from Alma...as her gift to us from heaven...and we know that you came with the wings of an angel already affixed to your beautiful body. Sometimes we called you our little elf, sometimes our baby and always our sweet soul. You know we have loved many dogs in our lifetimes and we remain now loving only your sister, Lady, since your passing. But there was never, and we know there will never be another spirit as strong, devoted, loving, insightful, and gentle as yours was.

Everyone who met you felt it. You were a wise and evolved soul who touched so many lives. Because of you, kids in our beach neighborhood no longer feared dogs and , in fact, own their own doggies today. Because of you, Beth felt the warmth and fulfillment that a special doggie brings to a home...and she got Taffy. Because of you, we had the wonderful pleasure of sharing a child (even though it was a canine one) together. And because of you, your wonderful vet's office learned new alternative treatment options for dogs with your type of cancer. You made a lasting mark on so many people and the quiet strength you showed in your lifetime will help other dogs now live longer and more serenely with their families.

We admired your ability to come through 5 surgeries in two years. You showed us your unwavering desire to stay here with us and you came through and shined with vitality each time. But this last six months took its toll as infections recurred that you fought and fought each time. And the final one was clearly too much to fight. You were clearly pained and we could not let you suffer.

So, we heard your words and felt your heart as you looked in our eyes. You always did have a way of looking at us straight in the face and peering into our eyes to tell us what you wanted. That was one of your unique ways...different than any other dog. And so we shared our last hour feeding you cheese and even chocolate (a new experience for you, huh) and looking lovingly in each others eyes. You never let one of us feel left out...as always, you looked into one of your mommy's eyes and then into your other mommy's eyes. And while you fought it, you finally let us go.

Know that we will never let you go though...as you will ALWAYS live in our minds and our hearts and our souls....And someday we will meet you at the Rainbow Bridge...and embrace each other again and remain together forever.

LOVE NOW and FOREVER and ALWAYS...Mommy Ellen and Mommy Char
