April 14, 2012 - July 30, 2026

Jazzy was the cutest little puppy ever. Everybody everywhere commented on how super cute she was. It was hard to believe she was a stray. Our daughter Erin's neighbor had found her and our other daughter Melani took her home. She was happy there but happier at our house when she came to visit. We have a very big fenced in yard and at the time had 5 other dogs. Eventually I felt sorry for her alone at Mel's house because they were not home a lot so I asked Mel if we could have her. And I will say Jazzy was not unhappy with that decision.
She fit right in with all the other "kids".
Jazzy was a very good girl. She also never got sick or had to take and medications (unlike all the other kids) for 14 years except daily and monthly supplements. Last Wednesday she became very ill very suddenly. There were no symptoms until it was too late.

While Jazzy was living with Mel, Mel took in another stray she named Joe. Before those guys were fixed they had a litter of puppies. I kept the little tan one and named her Izzie. She became the love of my life. Joe eventually worked his way to our house, literally. So we had a 100# blacklab Ziggy, a pitbull mix Ozzie, a pitbull Roxie and the little family of Jazzy, Joe and Izzie. The perfect pack. Eventually one by one they all passed away and you were the last survivor. We adopted a little guy, Ace, from a shelter and he is pure perfection. We have had him 9 months. You were his buddy and now he is lost without you.

Jazzy was a very friendly girl. All the kids loved her and wanted to take her home but she was here to stay. She could be a little fiesty with other dogs though but mellowed out as she got older. She loved to go in the car as most dogs do and was a great little traveler.

Everywhere I look I see Jaz. Everything reminds me of her. We lost a very significant family member this week and it's a heartache that is going to be around for a very long time.

We will meet you at the Rainbow Bridge. Until then, I wish they had visiting hours.
