Memories of Jani
Jani and I met in a pet store in Stafford in Brisbane both of us gazed into each others eyes at the very same time and a bond was made. We shared many journeys and many homes but we were always together and whenever i wanted love she was there caring for her daddy she was amazing. I always said Jani you could be a famous model , her gorgeous feet her sexy brown eyes, her smell her everything we were each others lives bonded by love. She guarded our home with distinction a real lady she befriended every person who came to our home and was polite and respectful. She did however love her food and was always ready to eat it was cute. She loved sitting in the front of the car and if in back would insist with the push of her nose to sit next to daddy. When away on business she was promoted to security she let people know sorry dad's not home so call back later. She would always get embarrassed when I looked into her eyes or sing a song to her it was so cute. She was also very tough after 2 cancer operations in hospital , ear surgery, teeth extracted she never once complained just got on with life and looking after me. Her whole life was dedicated to me no one else mattered. She had empathy for others but her dad was her no 1 priority other than meals. She would lay in my office while I worked , and at night next to my bed until asleep then lay at my bedroom door guarding her best friend her daddy. Jani disliked the vacuum cleaner and would scamper out of the room and when the lawn mover started she would play games and try and bite it haha very funny times. Our lives together were inseparable we were a linked cord of love until the cancer returned with a vengeance and osteoarthritis stopped her she tried right to the very end until the night of 31/10/16 as I watched her suffering she looked into my eyes and said Please daddy I cant go on we layed together all night on my office floor then I went into my bed and 30 minutes later I found her stuck under my bed that was her way of saying help me go.That was her cry for help and on the 1/11/16 we journeyed for the last time to the vets and she knew her journey was coming to an end where she was a lady in my arms till the end. My partner Julie was there we went as a family to support her and never left her for a minute and let jani know we were all as one. Jani is now with me in spirit on my left shoulder she will keep me safe even now.
