Memories of Ian QUIGBY
A well mannered gentleman, and a handsomely marked black brindle, QUIGBY showed his love, humor, loyalty, funny and eccentric behavior in a remarkable way. He sang and danced every evening while waiting for his dinner. He brought his laughing and loving light to the entire family; both his doggie family- brother Jasper, and sister Bonnie Brynn, and his human Daddy Kenn. All of whom were gifted either a howl or a smile while he continuously entertained with his antics and true comedic Scottie style. He showed us how to laugh and have courage with his simplistic approach to life, enjoying the moment.

My best of family friend's, Elayne and Robbie brought him to me from North Carolina. It was soon after the transition of my sweet girl, Abbey Gale and my ever enthusiastic running ball player, Cosmoe Topper. They had departed within weeks of each other and much too early for the Rainbow Bridge.

He came to me as a rescued dog after several months on the street. However, it was he, who did the rescuing with his prescription for laughter, faith, hope and courage during my many difficult illnesses and long recoveries. He could be found with me, on any given afternoon as we watched TV on our ipad, in bed, and eventually slowly counting sheep on many short trips to dreamland.

He was a patriot always wearing his red, white and blue US flag facsimile as his collar. He was very proud of the fact that the First Dog has been a Scottie, more than any other breed; the Scottish Terrier being the only animal ever to be represented in a memorial to a president, and winner of Westminster's "Best in Show" more frequently than any breed.

His is no longer at his place on his red plaid pillow under my desk, but the whisper of his breathing can still be heard if you are still to your soul. The depth of man's bond with his dog has no substitution. It cannot be described or explained to its full intensity and synergy. Our many words still leave a vacancy in the grasp of its eternity.
Jasper, Brynn and I sense his being around the home. He must watch us from top of the shelf with Ollie, Tara, Abbey, & Cosmoe. He waits with the others, at the Rainbow Bridge for the three of us, and any other light being who may come after him.

He thanks Bill for all the love, and walkies, and Dr. Cindy and the Animal Hospital for their healing ways.
