Gretchen, how do I go on without you? You have been THE best furbaby that anyone could ever have--more than that, my soulmate. |
You have survived SO many things, from diabetes to having all your teeth pulled to your uterus rupturing to two eye tumors to poisoning to infections to all the other things. You handled everything so perfectly and always acted like everything was fine so that I wouldn't lose it more than I was already. My sweet sweet oh-so-brave girl!!
I will forever be sorry I couldn't save you this last time. Gretchie, did I do the right thing for you? I will ask myself this until my dying day. Please, know it was single-handedly THE hardest thing I've ever had to to!!
Most of the time so far, it's like you're not gone, but simply another hard night without you while you're at the vet. I keep expecting the Dr. to call and tell me I can come get you. The other half of the time, I can't breathe and feel I'm dying.
The cats are about the same place I am.
There will never be another you.
Dream yourself into a beautiful dream for me.
Don't be sad for me, help me to be good so I can get where you are.
"God saw you getting tired
