Memories of Ginger
My precious Ginger was born on October 13, 2000. She has been with me since January 13, 2001. She was my constant companion and was always there to give kisses and get belly rubs. Ginger lived with me for the first seven years of her life until I couldn't keep her because of a heavy work schedule; then she went to live with my friend, Bob for six years. As fate would have it, I moved into Bob's house two years ago and found my Ginger again. We were inseparable. She slept with me and then she slept with Bob. We took her to work with us all of the time, and she loved to curl up in her bed that we kept at work. Whenever I sat on the couch to watch T.V., Ginger curled up against my leg and went to sleep so contented. I have fond memories and lots of pictures of trips with my family and Ginger to Las Vegas during Christmas time to visit my brother's family. The kids loved her so much. Ginger is the longest surviving fur baby I have ever had. I knew she was getting older and she had lost her hearing and her sight. I knew that our fur babies only last 15 or 17 years, but I didn't want to think about the inevitable. Then on January 20, 2016 at 6:30am, it happened. Ginger went to Rainbow Bridge. I fell to pieces and thought I was in a nightmare. But it was no dream. It was reality. My baby had left me. Now all I have are beautiful memories and I am so sad. I love you, Ginger, my baby, and life is so hard without you. I hope you are frolicking in the meadows of Rainbow Bridge and playing with all your friends. I love you forever.

Dear Precious Ginger,

It has been one year today since you went to Rainbow Bridge. I still miss you so much. We have another beautiful little girl named Precious now, but no fur baby can ever replace you. You were my constant companion for fifteen years and life has been so hard without you. I hope you are happily frolicking in the meadows of Rainbow Bridge and having fun with BJ your old room mate. Until we meet again, I love you still so much.
