Just before you passed, I said to you, "We love you, Ginger. Please send us a rainbow to let us know you are with Lucy." One week to the day you sent the most magnificent double rainbow. Lucy must have been right with you because hers was just above yours. The biggest rainbow was from you, we know. It was very, very bright. Just like you are. You were the first of your litter to find the doggie door, we were told. They called you "Miss Smartie Pants."
We miss you so very much. Louie and Harley wander around still looking for you. They stopped eating for a while. Dad is so sad. It's not the same without you. You were his favorite girl and I know that you knew that. I miss you more than I can say. Matt feels horrible as do Ed, Louise and Hannah.
We know you are at peace with Lucy, Winnie and Obie. Putting you to rest was the hardest thing I have ever done. I know how ill you were and we wanted to spare you any more pain. We know Lucy showed you the way and that you are there together. One day we will see you again.
We still miss and love you with all of our hearts. Louie is feeling better and Harley is doing okay, too. I hope you like your new flowers. Please send another rainbow to let us know you and Lucy are together with the others. It's been a while since we heard from you. Maybe you are busy playing and being Mama Dog to everyone there. I know your fur is grown back and you are pretty as you were as a puppy now.

We got some condolences from others at the Rainbows Bridge this week in memory of your passing. I don't feel like you have passed. I feel like you are here every day with us. I have your special stuffed playmate sitting on the chair in our room. We miss you a lot. Dad has a video of you on your last day. We smile when we see you messing up your dog bed the way you do. We have not had a rainbow since you left us to be with Lucy and the others. We did take a picture of the one you sent last year. I hope you are okay there. I made some changes to make you comfortable up there.
We miss you a great deal, still, Gingie As you know, Louie passed a few months ago. He was very tired out and developed a tumor in his neck and we had to let him go. We know he is with you and Lucy because he sent us a rainbow, well sort of... You know Louie. He had that brain injury as a puppy and was a bit impaired. So, he sent three tiny bits of rainbows instead of one big one. We have taken in a rescue kitten named Lily Pad. She is very feisty and I know you would have put her in her place right away. We still have Harley but he just turned 13. He is blind now but finds his way around just fine. The kitten jumps on his back all the time to try to play but he is old now and just sleeps most of the time. When the day comes and he joins all of you, it will be very sad because he still represents you to us.
We moved to a new home and I know you would have liked it here and Harley wishes you were here still too.
I put up some new flowers for you today and an Easter egg tree.
