I fell in love with Georgia Glory from the moment I saw her. She was just six weeks old and her siblings were cute, but she was the runt and the only harlequin of the litter. She simply stole my heart. Georgia was absolutely precious with her little scrunched up nose, one blue eye and one brown eye, her big puppy paws... she was perfect in every way. On May 5, 2004 she rode in my lap for the roughly two hour drive home from Carrollton, GA. From that day on we were inseparable.|
There are so many special memories that I have of Miss Georgia... Her awkward growing stage where she would trip over her own legs. Piggy back rides until she grew too big. Our trips to the northeast Georgia mountains. The way her little cheeks would puff out when she was breathing. Her love of fireworks. The way she would bark to try and scare the thunder away. Her excitement during playtime and how she would run around and throw her front paws down. The way she was always so gentle and loving with everyone. Her puppy kisses. The list keeps going... My favorite though, our cuddle time. Georgia was the best at snuggling.
Georgia was definitely my favorite hello and my hardest goodbye. She was my best friend for over 12 years and nothing could have prepared me for how shattered my heart would become the day I had to say goodbye to my baby girl. I miss her so very much. I know that she is in God's loving embrace now and that she is able to run full speed again in Heaven. I look forward to the day when we both get to run to each other at the rainbow bridge.
You're Forever In My Heart...
I Love You, My Sweet Angel.
