Memories of Dickens
Dickens was special as soon as he appeared in our lives. A scared, mangey, puppy came through our door. He blossomed into a wonderful, intelligent, sensitive, brave, playful, loving companion. A truer friend could not be found. He was a puppy until the day he died, his courage was amazing, and he died with dignity. There will never be another like him in our lifetime. Dickens, we know that you will be waiting for us. Toby and Gracie miss you. DEAR DICKENS, we all miss you. It has been over a year, and the loss of you is still almost unbearable. We see your sweet, quirky, smiling face and your zest for life in all of your pictures and in our memories. We think about you every day.
The second Christmas without you is almost here. Tony & Gracie would love to open presents with you, and a whole year without you is really hard to bear. Toby is doing a good job of filling in for you, but it's not quite the same. We will all be together someday. Merry Christmas, dear boy.
