Welcome to Coopie's Rainbow Bridge Memorial Residency
Memories of Coopie
I will never forget how you loved to chase a tennis ball. You would jump amazingly high and catch it mid-air. You followed me, immediately behind me wherever I went. I would stuff one of those hollow red rubber toys with some dry food and then plug the entrance to the toy with a small cloth. You enjoyed playing with that until you managed to pull out the cloth and be rewarded with the dry food pebbles. I loved it when I sat on the couch and you layed by my side as I read or meditated. I took you everywhere with me. We loved camping in the desert. One vacation, we drove to Vancouver Island and camping all the way. We slept in the my red 4Runner, you beside me. A memory I have is one trip we took to an abandoned watch tower near Downieville. We had to hike to the watch tower and we met a couple who were resting. They offered you a slice of apple which I thought would just be wasted on you, but, amazingly you gobbled it up. I think of you every time I slice an apple.
