Ciara was my best friend. Initially she came to us as a Christmas gift for the girls, but she quickly became my fur baby, angel, confident & constant companion. She was deeply loved by me and her dad Brendan, and Laura, Deirdre and Julia. She had cat sisters, Reilly and Miko and the last 4 yrs of her life Bella Maria, our rescue who loved and tortured her.
Ciara was very well behaved but had a playful side, she ate cat poop from the litter box, jumped on the dining room table, teased Miko and when really excited, would do her pony dance! She loved sleeping with her mommy (me) & followed me everywhere I went. She loved her walks and preferred people to other dogs. I took her everywhere with me, NY, NJ, PA, MA, MD, FL where she lived for her last year. Ciara was not good at traveling even though she went everywhere with me and was especially bad on plane rides where she would cry, scratch and carry on. Ciara hated when I left her and would become depressed when she spotted my luggage and often would sit in the suitcase! Ciara loved to sing with us and would tilt her little head back and sing her heart out!
Ciara made me happy, gave me companionship and taught me about unconditional love. She never once complained even near the end. She put on a brave face and would manage to always wag her tail. Ciara taught us: to never ever complain, to be faithful, love deeply and freely, not to judge, live each day like its your last, seize the moment, it's the little things, not to worry, and when your hungry, tired or unsure, to lay down, take a break and to cuddle with someone who loves you.
I still can't believe my baby girl is not here & I believe we will meet again to continue our love story at a later time. We miss you Ciara, you have touched our hearts and taught us much with your bravery, love and dignity. You are missed and loved deeply. xoxo Mommy
