Welcome to Ch Amaroq Shikinya RN CGC's Rainbow Bridge Memorial Residency
Memories of Ch Amaroq Shikinya RN CGC
Ch Amaroq Shikinya RN CGC. In the Inuit language Shikinya means "sunshine"! And you certainly were our sunshine, from your light red and gold coat to your sunny disposition. You were a Champion in all ways and means. You came to us at 1 1/2 years of age when our previous husky, Wolfen, left for the bridge. You fit right in to your new home. Showing in Conformation you excelled and became a Champion. You also became a Therapy Dog, cheering up people that needed it. Then along came KoKo, your cousin. KoKo and you became best buddies. Your loss was very hard on KoKo.|
Surgery for stomach torsion took you from us, suddenly and tragically on June 14th, 2015. You now have joined Wolfen at the Bridge and our other fur babies. We love you Shikinya. There is a shadow on our sunshine.
Love, Mom, Dad and KoKo
We still miss you and love you. Bernie made a beautiful head sculpture of you which sits in the case with all the other doggies. I talk to you every morning. And sometimes I think you talk back. One day I said good morning and how did you sleep and you said there is no day or night at the bridge. You just nap whenever you feel like it! How about that!
KoKo is doing OK. She is 9 years old now. Like you were when you left us.
