| Sweet Franklin, Bubba, what a life you led. A life full of silliness, from jumping off the banister on the second floor of our house to zooming around with Murphy and Thomas, and always coming to greet everyone--in the mornings, anytime, and of course in our beds. There are not enough words to describe what a sweet boy Franklin was. He came to us in 2008 as a birthday surprise for Emma. Emma remembers looking into the bushes as a neighbor frantically called us about kittens in her garden; and she recalls his beautiful white coat, fluffy fur, and silver nose that looked up from the ground and hissed at everyone. From that moment on, Emma and the whole family were in love... though the story didn't start then. He went first to foster care but then a couple of weeks later, after lots of begging, Carol (Mom) surprised Emma with him on her ninth birthday, and that is where the story began. He was always one to greet, ask for endless amounts of dry food, which we hope he is eating in plenty now, lie on the floor and ask for endless amounts of belly rubs, and was always full of love and snuggles. The fondest memories are of Franklin waking everyone up in bed and snuggling with them until they got up. Franklin, we will meet again, my love. Noel remembers him as his little white tiger. He was always up to something, or wanting something, and he would make it known with his constant conversations of meows that would follow your heart around wherever you went. He grew especially close to Carol as time passed. Their bond was powerful, and through the years, Carol kept Franklin healthy, even as his kidneys started to fail and he had a couple of close calls when he developed blood clots. Without Carol, he would not have been able to live 17 wonderful years. Franklin helped Carol through the years when life was challenging, always at her side. Tess also has fond memories of him watching her grow from a young girl to a young woman-- always offering snuggles. Franklin, you led a life full of wonder and fun. You are now reunited with all the other pets from our family--Jerry, Chichi, Vera, Murphy, Midnight, Mia (your mom), Kelly, Niko, Freckles, and Thomas. We will love you always, and we look forward to seeing you again. Enjoy that endless dry food, churros, and treats--no cat will ever compare to you. See you soon, Bubba, and visit us in our dreams ❤️ |
