Memories of Carmella
My beautiful "Baby Girl" Carmella, left us after a very short illness. It was completely unexpected, and we acted as quickly as possible to save her, but God wanted her more. She was the queen of the cage, leaving her mate Dusty, and her friend Wilbur behind with me to grieve. She was so full of life, and always vocal when she wanted something (usually food), and quick to give me a loving "purrrrrrr" every time I would stroke her. She would always enjoy fishing out and chewing the newspaper under her fleece, which she knew I didn't want her to do. The picture of her and Dusty standing on their hind legs at the cage every morning waiting for their food and vitamin C treat, is an image that will always be ingrained in my mind. She would always "walk" her pigloo over to the water bottle, and stick her head out of the pigloo to drink the water, looking like a furry turtle. She would decimate the k-cups box that we cut openings in, that she loved to take up residence in. She was such a beautiful piggy, and I will always cherish having her in my life, although I wish it was much longer. I know I will see her at the bridge one day, but in addition to whatever family she had before we adopted her, she will be led to the bridge by my previous piggies, Fluffy, Nacho, Salsa and Rusty. I hope she can still see us somehow, and will always hold us in her heart, as we hold her in ours.

I love and miss you always Carmella, "My Baby Girl". Daddy XXXOOOXXX

Please also visit Dusty and Wilbur.
