And if I go while you are still here...|
Know that I still live on,
Vibrating to a different measure,
Behind a thin veil that you cannot see through.
You will not see me, so you must have faith.
I will wait there for the time when we can soar together again both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to the fullest,
And when you need me, just whisper my name in your heart,
...I will be there.
"How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." ~ A.A. Milne/Winnie the Pooh
From Callie from Rainbows Bridge at the time of her transition on 10/18/19 at 2:00 p.m. --- I know, sweet mommies, how hard it was to let me go and yet your love helped you do that. My body was so very tired, and I was already seeing the beauty shining from the Rainbow. After gently falling asleep, I woke at the Rainbow Bridge and immediately recognized Tashi, Katy and BG, and the others who shared your life there over the years. And there was Nikki and Grady, Fred and Roxie (another Calico just like me)and so many beckoning me on. I ran across the Bridge and joined them, got lots of whisker kisses and paw hugs, and Tashi, Katy and BG assured me that you, our mommies, would be along in God's time.
It's so beautiful here...lots of sunshine, soft breezes to ruffle my fur, lots to see...the meadows, the trees, the rivers babbling along and most of all the LOVE! So much love...God's Love, Purrfect Love.
Just know that I'm watching over you with all my heart and that though I miss you and Jackie Pooh Bear, I know that we will all be together again. We'll all be at the Bridge when you come Home. In the meantime, just whisper my name in your heart...I am there...ALWAYS!
From her mommies --- There is sadness and tears mixed smiles, knowing that our precious Snickerdoodle...Snickers...is safe at Home where there is only Love, Grace, Peace, Light and Joy. The table where she spent so much time in her snuggy bed these last weeks was right next to Mommy Clare's recliner. Callie would just step over into my lap, take a bit of a nap and then go back to her bed. I truly miss seeing that bed and that precious little, 6 pound beauty, sleeping.
When we moved to Las Vegas in 2016, one of her favorite things and one of our great memories is of her leaping from the floor to the kitchen counter, then to the top of the refrigerator and on to the top of the cabinets. Scary! She was so sure of herself and her ability to leap softly. We're quite sure she's leaping up the tallest cat tree there. She had a 6 footer here and loved it.
We adopted her and Jackie in July 2013 in Utah, and of course, when we moved, they came with us. Our furry companions are truly family, and we are blessed and privileged to be their human companions.
Our beloved Callie is now across the Rainbow Bridge, healthy, happy, running and playing, chasing butterflies in the sunshine, snoozing in a snuggy bed on a table and living Life. We will be with her and our other beloveds one day when it's time for us to go Home. In the meantime, she and the others live on in our hearts always.
Our deep gratitude to Dr. Toby from Lap of Love who so gently helped Callie on to her next grand adventure. She slipped away peacefully and with grace and dignity. For that we are truly thankful. She was at home in her snuggy bed, surrounded by love, so much love.
Please when you read this, remember that our precious ones are just a whisper away, forever and always in our hearts. God bless you, too, with peace and comfort.
We'll be back! And remember, sweetest Callie, that you are loved ALWAYS.
10/20/19 - Beloved Snickerdoodle, it's been almost two days now that you have been at the Bridge, and we know you're getting all settled in and that Tashi, Katy and BG are helping you do that. Just know that you are in our hearts and that you are loved always. We're adding a picture to your photo album of you up on the cabinets when we first moved to LV so that folks can see how agile you are. Wrap yourself in our love and know that you are cherished.
10/21/19 - Sweetest Callie, thank you for giving us the sign of the beautiful, huge, yellow rose on the bush straight out from the kitchen window. It's gorgeous! And we know in our hearts that you are letting us know that you are always with us and that you are safe at Home across the Bridge and that you are happy and healthy. We hold you in our hearts and love you so much. One day we'll be together and in the meantime, you're in our hearts always. Your mommies and Jackie
10/22/19 - A cherished friend of ours wrote the following tribute for our beloved Callie, and we place it here in Callie's honor. "I am filled with gratitude to have known Callie through her moms, Clare and Martha. I am grateful for the Callie stories that continue to fill my heart. I am grateful for the human companions, who provided love and more love for Callie. I am grateful for the opportunity to sit High Watch as Callie made her transition to the Rainbow Bridge to celebrate her eternal life as the expression of Love and Light that she is. Namaste, Callie."

11/4/19 - Sweetest Callie, we have a big favor to ask. Please take Percy under your paw and show him all the wonders at the Bridge...the meadows, the trees, the beautiful homes, the snuggy beds, the good food and fresh clear water. We know that Tashi, Katy and BG will help you do that. Percy came to the Bridge so suddenly, and his mom, Diane, is hurting so much. Please ask Percy to send her a sign that he is healthy and will be waiting for her. Thank you, dearest Callie. And please remember that we love you SO much and will see you again one day. We're still waiting for your precious ashes to come home. We know they will and they will be in a very special place here. You are so loved always. Your mommies, Clare & Martha and your sister, Jackie
