Dear Buzzy B Bear - what a long, happy and eventful life you have lived. When your Matey and I met you and your brother we couldnt decide which of you to choose - so you both came home with me. You and Jack have never left my side. You are so intelligent that I knew my usual ordinary dog training wouldnt be enough for you so I enrolled you in Doggie School. You did three courses and were so shy at the start. But you found your feet and thrived. From there you went to doggie tricks school and auditioned for the part of Bruiser from "Legally Blonde" in a musical production and you got the part and have a Movie Star Certificate to prove it. We went on holidays, moved to Kangaroo Island, had hundreds of beach walks (you and Jack learned to play the Rock Game on the beach) and you always love the Fish Cannery Bush Walk at Kangaroo Island. You love all your toys, Snake, Woofer, Monster, Oinker, Effant, Froggie, Mini-Me, Bay Snake, Dino, Spider, Mousey, Moo-cow and the others. You are so entertaining and loving - a real little human fur person. You are also the most loved fur baby I have ever been lucky enough to have in my family. Your Matey/Daddy just loves you so much and always enjoyed having lunch with me, you and Jacky Boy at the Penneshaw Pub as the first meal for each visit to Kangaroo Island. He also just loved having you and Jack and the other boys on his bed each night and just loved cuddling you and Jack on his lap on his favourite chair in the family room. Two other people who LOVE YOU TO BITS are Auntie Jodi and Auntie Lisa. They both wish they could talk to you, look into your gorgeous kind, knowing dark brown eyes and cuddle you one last time. I was in Adelaide for work last week and it was sooo very lucky that I came home to you all on Friday. Uncle Bob and Auntie Val were at home looking after all of you and they love your funny personality and brilliant smile that lights the sky and makes everyone in your company smile too. You got sick on Tuesday, just 4 days later. I am so grateful, as are Uncle Bob and Auntie Val that you waited till I got home before your symptoms showed. Just 2 days after first getting sick, our Hero Vet, Dr Charlie helped you and I make the decision to put you to sleep peacefully before your condition got any worse and you started experiencing pain. It was not the best time to make a new friend, but that's how you and I will always remember Dr Charlie. My darling Buzzy B Bear Esquire! I know Topsy will introduce you to all your other brothers and sisters at Rainblow Bridge and you will also meet Butch, Cassidy and Axel who you never knew in your human life. You will also be re-united with Jezzie, Heidi and Lilli. The house is so quite without our chats and your excited bark each time it was Bally Time or Let's go Camry Crows. I miss hearing your little footsteps at night going down the ramp by my bed and the click clack of your little claws on the floor as you walk to the water bowl and then your lap-lap of the water before returning up the ramp to the bed. I also miss your little face close to mine as you check on me each morning. I love you to the sun, moon, stars and back and you will always be the most smart and entertaining little man I have ever had the pleasure of loving. Thank you for EVERYTHING. xxx 29th September 2025 - Hey Buzz, just thought Id say Hello. You know I talk to you everyday anyway but it's nice to be able to write to you. It is good news that your litter brother Jacky Boy is adjusting well to not having you around. It took him a little while - he was just so lost without you in your "human" form. He now comes to work with me sometimes and I make sure that he gets lots of extra Bally time during Happy Hour. Your Matey (Jack's Daddy) is coming to visit soon - I suspect he will be in tears when it's bed time without you. As you know, I alwasy take your 'angel box' to bed with me each night and I suspect your Matey will do that too. Oh, and thanks for visiting me a couple of nights ago. I stirred in gthe night and could smell you. I talked to you right then and there and put my hand out to pat you like I always did. I love you Buzzy B Bear - always have and always will. Make sure you teach all the other kids at the Bridge some of your tricks and stay happy with that huge smile until I cross the bridge to be with you, Topsy, Lilli, Heidi, Jezzie, Axel, Cassidy, Butch, Scratch, Mags, Tinker and all the other animals and birds that have been such a huge part of my life. Stay happy Little Man - you will always be Bizzy Buzzy - you actually never got a chance to grow old....maybe that's a good thing. Love you Matey xxx 14th March 2026 - Hi Buzzy! It's still so quiet here without your happy energetic energy and barking. I know over the years, I used to tell you, almost on a daily basis to SHUT UP BUZZY, but if I could see you running and barking at your big red bally again, while turning around to make sure I was watching, I promise I would never tell you to SHUT UP ever again. Your brother Jacky Boy was in hospital for 2 nights this week, as he had a very restless night a few nights ago and couldnt stop panting even though it wasnt hot. I know that panting in dogs sometimes means pain, anxiousness or some other negative issue. I wish I had taken more notice of your panting which sometimes occured at breakfast time on my big bed. Anyway, the doctors think Jacky might have early signs of kidney disease. He's home again now, and has some tablets, and he will head back for another blood and urine test on 24th March. Your Matey, Jack's Daddy will be here that week, so we will take him in to the vet together. I know you always check in on Jacky Boy and the rest of us. But I know just how popular you are with all your new friends at the Bridge. I love you to bits Buzzy and still miss you every day. I will let you know when to expect Jacky Boy over the bridge - but I guess you will know, even before I do. Stay happy and healthy and I look forward to playing with you again one day. Love you Buzzy xxx Please also visit Topsy. |
