Butterscotch came home from the local Humane Society as an approx. 9 week old fuzzball on August 23, 1994. |
She was so special and so silly. She loved catnip and would act stoned for a long time. She loved to chase light lasers, climb the Christmas tree (and look like she belonged there), and cackle at birds (and even reflections on the wall or ceiling) in her younger days. She was quite "talkative" and had many words and sounds in her "vocabulary". She enjoyed cuddling up with Daddy and also with her younger cat sister and best friend, Sasha. She really didn't seem to mind when our daughter, when she was four years old, gave the white spot on her back a "haircut". And she didn't seem to mind when our young son, not always gently, carried her around the house. She slept on our daughter's pillow at night for many years. Before she got sick she liked to lie on window sills and lie on her back with her big, white tummy sticking up--one of her many nicknames was "Belly Girl". She also loved to go up north to the family cabin so that she could go outside--she didn't mind the ride in the van. She was the Queen of the House, and she enjoyed "supervising" many of the household activities, including those of her younger sisters Sasha and Pixie.
She was a beautiful orange and white, medium-haired tabby with the prettiest face and beautiful amber colored eyes.
On March 3, 2010 cancer took her away from us.
She was our precious baby, and we loved her so much. She could never be replaced.
